Grain Voucher Business Lead

About the role

Asili Agriculture is seeking a dynamic Grain Voucher Business Lead to drive the growth and commercialization of its innovative Grain Voucher product across Uganda’s agricultural value chain. The role will shape strategy, build partnerships, and oversee product development to make the voucher a trusted financial asset for farmers and agribusinesses.

Key responsibilities

• Own and achieve Grain Voucher growth targets and commercial strategy.
• Drive customer acquisition, activation, retention and transaction volume.
• Develop distribution channels, strategic partnerships and new market opportunities.
• Define and manage the product roadmap, incorporating customer insights and market feedback.
• Lead design, launch and continuous improvement of voucher products and related services.
• Build an ecosystem of aggregators, traders, processors, farmer organisations, financial institutions and development partners.
• Integrate complementary financial services such as working‑capital loans, insurance, savings and digital payments.
• Ensure smooth voucher issuance, transfer, redemption, settlement and high‑quality customer support.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, technology and risk teams to maintain operational excellence.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of experience in business development, product management or agribusiness.
• Proven track record of scaling financial or digital products in emerging markets.
• Strong understanding of agricultural value chains and farmer financing needs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and partnership building skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and travel within Uganda as required.
