About the role
The postholder is responsible for a portfolio of health improvement programmes across a locality or topic area, aiming to improve health and reduce inequalities in line with local and national priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and monitor health improvement programmes under the direction of the Unit Health Improvement Team Leader.
- Provide health improvement support, training and advice to NHS staff and partner agencies.
- Establish and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote health improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of evidence‑based programmes, managing budgets and resources.
Required profile
- Degree‑level qualification; postgraduate qualification or equivalent knowledge in health improvement/public health.
- UKPHR Practitioner Registration or working towards it, and a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
- Experience in health promotion, public health partnership working, policy implementation and budget monitoring.
