Human Resource Trainee (Full-time, Kampala)

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is seeking a motivated Human Resource Trainee to join its on‑site team in Kampala. This full‑time position is part of the GPAP Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program, offering hands‑on experience in HR functions while earning a stipend.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job ads and scheduling interviews.
• Conduct new‑employee orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Help implement HR policies and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Administer employee benefits and support payroll coordination.
• Participate in employee relations initiatives and HR projects.

Required profile

• Background in a management‑related course (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources).
• Pursuing or completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Interest in enterprise development and technology innovation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR management principles and policies.
• Understanding of employee benefits administration.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee relations.
