About the role
The Kitchen Assistant will support the chef and kitchen team in delivering high‑quality food service. This part‑time position is based in Centra's Kamwokya store and focuses on efficient food preparation, stock handling, and customer interaction.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the chef and kitchen staff with daily food preparation tasks.
- Prepare food lines for sale following store procedures.
- Maintain accurate stock levels, merchandising, and rotation in the kitchen area.
- Complete customer sales and orders while adhering to Centra brand values.
- Provide product knowledge, including allergen information, to shoppers.
Required profile
- Passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- HACCP training is beneficial but not mandatory.
