About the role
The Department of Zoology, Entomology and Fisheries Sciences at Makerere University is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support teaching and research activities. This entry‑level position involves maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment for students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and organize laboratory equipment, workspaces, and facilities.
- Implement safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a secure workplace.
- Assist in the preparation and set‑up of student practical sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and consumables used in the laboratory.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required profile
- UCE (Uganda Certificate of Education) qualification.
- Certificate in Science Technology – Biology.
- No prior experience required.
