Laravel Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Laravel Software Developer to join our healthcare technology team in Kampala. The role involves building, testing and maintaining web applications that support our health‑tech solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient Laravel code for new features and enhancements.
• Identify, troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing applications.
• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure code quality.
• Deploy applications to designated platforms and monitor performance.
• Document code, APIs and technical decisions.
• Collaborate actively with the development team and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional experience with the Laravel PHP framework.
• Degree or diploma in software engineering or a related field.
• Portfolio of Laravel projects hosted on GitHub.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude or Cursor.
• Strong understanding of MySQL and relational database design.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Comfort working in an Agile development environment.
