Lecturer (Nursing & Midwifery) – Full‑Time

About the role

The University seeks a full‑time Lecturer in Nursing & Midwifery to join its Medical School. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and research within a Christian academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in course administration and instruction for the Medical School curriculum, delivering integrated science and clinical content.
• Employ diverse teaching methods such as case‑based instruction, simulations, team‑based learning, and distance education.
• Assess undergraduate and postgraduate student performance through formative and summative evaluations.
• Provide individual support, feedback, and academic advising to students.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations aligned with university research themes.

Required profile

• Master of Science in Nursing or related field and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• At least two years of university teaching experience at Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer level or three years as a Tutorial Assistant.
• Registration or eligibility for full registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners' Council.
• Evidence of scholarly output such as a published article or completed research project.
• Commitment to Christian values and continuous professional development.
