Manager, Trade Finance Sales

About the role

The Manager, Trade Finance Sales will lead business development and product management for trade finance solutions across commercial and corporate banking. Working closely with the Head of Trade, the role shapes the trade roadmap, drives market penetration and ensures the bank’s trade offerings remain competitive and profitable.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create and articulate a trade business roadmap aligned with the Group Trade Finance strategy.
• Analyse international and regional trade flows to identify market trends, opportunities and competitive threats.
• Develop and maintain a target market list of trade customers based on sector, corridor and player analysis.
• Capture competitor intelligence and regulatory updates to reinforce competitive advantage.
• Ensure appropriate pricing of trade products, collect fees and commissions, and monitor revenue growth.
• Review monthly trade financials and MIS reports to track performance.
• Grow the trade and supply‑chain customer base through proactive sales and marketing initiatives.
• Develop, enhance and manage inventory finance, distributor finance, business term loans, overdrafts and asset finance products.
• Identify, develop or enhance new trade products and services to increase transaction volume and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including branch managers, to convert pipeline prospects into active trade customers.
• Participate in joint calls with branches, negotiate solutions, and oversee loan agreement and security documentation drafting.
• Act as the local market expert, staying current on market and regulatory developments.
• Provide training and up‑skilling for sales teams to maximise opportunity identification and solution selling.
• Coordinate processes across business and support units to minimise response times and operational losses.
