About the role
The Market Ambassador is the first point of contact for guests entering Time Out Market. You will welcome visitors, provide essential information about the market’s offerings, and ensure a memorable experience from arrival to departure.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor entrance and exit areas, greet guests, and provide clear information about the market.
- Thank guests on departure and invite them to return.
- Enforce policies on outside food, beverages, and the removal of alcoholic drinks.
- Report incidents or potential issues to Market Management and Security.
- Complete opening, afternoon, and closing checklist duties.
- Answer phone calls promptly and provide accurate information.
- Perform administrative tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Move furniture and equipment as directed by management.
- Know emergency procedures, company policies, and the layout of the operation.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of market vendors, menus, and beverage offerings.
- Be familiar with surrounding parking, ferry, and subway options.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Required profile
- 21+ years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, busy environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Positive attitude, empathy, and composure under pressure.
