Marketing and Sales Officer

About the role

The Marketing and Sales Officer will drive revenue growth for Birus Property Services by creating and executing marketing strategies, generating high‑quality leads and closing leasing and sales deals across Uganda and East Africa. This hands‑on, target‑driven position works closely with internal teams and external partners to build a strong brand presence in the commercial real‑estate market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve leasing, property‑sale and ancillary‑service targets, managing a robust prospect pipeline through CRM tools.
• Design and execute integrated marketing plans—including digital, social media, events and content—to increase visibility and attract corporate tenants and investors.
• Conduct property viewings, presentations and negotiations, closing deals with corporates, retailers, NGOs, investors and government entities.
• Collaborate with the property‑management team to ensure seamless handover from sales to tenancy and support tenant‑retention initiatives.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, pipeline updates and marketing ROI analyses, adjusting tactics to meet or exceed targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven sales and marketing experience in real‑estate or commercial services, with a track record of meeting targets in Uganda or East Africa.
• Experience in digital marketing, CRM management and property‑listing platforms.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Digital marketing tools including SEO, SEM, Google Ads and social‑media advertising (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X).
• Microsoft Office suite, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for creating marketing collateral.
• Property‑listing platforms and virtual‑tour creation tools.
