MEAL Consortium Team Lead

About the role

The MEAL Consortium Team Lead provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) across the FCDO‑funded ReSET consortium in Uganda. The role designs and drives a harmonised, high‑quality MEAL system that ensures data integrity, robust evidence generation, accountability to affected populations, and adaptive programming across all consortium partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve a unified MEAL framework for the consortium.
• Embed MEAL processes into programme design, implementation and decision‑making to enable real‑time learning.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and timely reporting to meet donor compliance requirements.
• Facilitate evidence‑based programme adaptation and strategic adjustments.
• Coordinate MEAL activities with consortium partners, UN agencies, NGOs and government stakeholders.
• Lead the generation of actionable insights and accountability mechanisms for refugee and host communities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading MEAL functions in humanitarian or development programmes.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, especially FCDO or similar funding mechanisms.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi‑partner consortia.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a solutions‑driven mindset.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and to improving the lives of refugees and host communities.
