Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Coordinator

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator will lead the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, research and learning systems for Restless Development’s youth employment programmes in Uganda. This role ensures robust tracking of programme performance, generation of high‑quality evidence and supports decision‑making, learning and accountability across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MEL frameworks, tools and indicators aligned with programme objectives.
• Collect, analyse and report quantitative and qualitative data to assess impact and inform strategic decisions.
• Coordinate with consortium partners and internal programme teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Produce regular performance dashboards, evaluation reports and learning briefs for donors and stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building on MEL practices within the organisation.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics or related field).
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, research or learning within development programmes.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with data collection and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners and programme teams.
