Music Teacher – IB MYP & DP (Kampala)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established international school in Kampala, is seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The successful candidate will inspire students through performance, composition and musical appreciation while contributing to a vibrant, inquiry‑based learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated music lessons for MYP and DP students.
• Assess and support learners of varying abilities, fostering both academic and creative growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school events.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development and safeguarding duties.
• Contribute to the wider school life through concerts, ensembles and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, US licence or equivalent).
• Relevant degree in Music or a related field.
• Experience teaching IB Music (MYP and/or DP) is highly desirable.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding.
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, international community.
