NGIS Housekeeper – Hospitality Services

About the role

The NGIS Housekeeper will ensure the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of Navy Gateway Inns and Suites facilities supporting a US Navy program. This full‑time position is based in Kampala and requires adherence to strict Navy housekeeping standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, common areas, and other NGIS facilities following the latest Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.
• Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and surface disinfection.
• Restock linens, toiletries, and other room amenities to maintain a consistent guest experience.
• Identify areas needing deep cleaning and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Maintain and operate cleaning equipment in line with training guidelines.
• Keep certification current by completing required training with a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer.

Required profile

• Valid NGNG Housekeeper certification obtained through a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective time‑management and organizational skills to complete duties efficiently.
• Basic communication skills for reporting issues and interacting courteously with guests and coworkers.
