Operations Manager – Back Office

About the role

The Operations Manager – Back Office will oversee treasury, trade finance, investments and system data integrity for Finance Trust Bank. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the role ensures risk‑mitigated processes while maintaining a high level of customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee core banking system data cleanup and ensure compliance with regulator and internal standards.
• Scrutinise and approve customer static data change requests before they are updated in the system.
• Approve and monitor treasury and trade‑finance back‑office activities within approved limits.
• Ensure accurate general‑ledger postings and end‑of‑day transaction compliance.
• Address audit findings from the regulator, auditors and internal risk teams.
• Train, mentor and appraise staff in the back‑office and branch locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (additional qualifications in accounting, finance or analytics are a plus).
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in a banking environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to interpret investment ratios and solve complex problems.
• Willingness to work extra hours and support teams and customers.
