About the role
The Operations Manager will lead the delivery of DHL Supply Chain’s logistics services in Uganda, ensuring contractual obligations are met while driving growth and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Support DSC's growth agenda by managing the contract P&L, budget and profitability.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with the customer's leadership team to drive organic growth and increase DHL's share of logistics spend.
- Lead the renewal agenda, ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate cross‑functional teams for contract renewals.
- Monitor KPIs, oversee health & safety compliance, and drive process‑improvement initiatives on site.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field; relevant certificates in inventory or fleet management are a plus.
- Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office, and solid analytical and financial acumen.
