OT Staff Nurse

About the role

We are looking for an OT Staff Nurse to join our surgical support team. The role focuses on ensuring the safe preparation, sterilisation and handling of surgical instruments within the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD). The successful candidate will work closely with operating theatre staff to maintain high standards of infection control and instrument readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process surgical instruments and equipment for sterilisation.
• Operate sterilisation equipment and monitor cycles according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of instrument processing and inventory.
• Collaborate with operating theatre personnel to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a CSSD or similar sterile processing environment.
• Diploma or certification in CSSD preferred, or any relevant paramedical qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
