Planning Officer

About the role

The Planning Officer will support Raising The Village’s regional growth strategies by helping develop and execute expansion plans across multiple countries. This position works closely with senior planning staff and country teams to ensure initiatives align with organizational objectives and local community needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Officer, Planning in creating and implementing strategic expansion plans.
• Identify new opportunities for program scaling and participate in feasibility assessments for new locations.
• Coordinate with country teams to integrate expansion activities, tailoring them to local contexts.
• Facilitate communication between regional and country teams to align on priorities.
• Track progress of expansion initiatives, report updates, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to periodic reports on successes, lessons learned, and impact measurement.
• Support engagement with local authorities, partners, and communities to ensure activities are well received.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements, maintaining relevant documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in Development Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences & Statistics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in program planning, expansion, or coordination within the development sector.
• Knowledge of community development, scaling strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working with multi‑country or regional projects is preferred.
