About the role
We are seeking a passionate PreK Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Reporting to the School Director, you will lead classroom operations, deliver curriculum, and support each child’s physical, social, emotional, and academic growth.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels respected and cared for.
- Build positive relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
- Recognize and address diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including the implementation of IEPs and behavioral support plans.
- Plan, deliver, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence Education’s philosophy and Signature Programs.
- Utilize Cadence‑required systems and communication tools for professional interaction with families, staff, and leadership.
- Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom in accordance with the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual.
- Accurately record accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per company policy and licensing requirements.
- Follow all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular work hours.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and licensing requirements.
- Experience in early childhood education, childcare, daycare, or preschool settings.
- Strong communication skills for partnering with families and team members.
- Commitment to professional growth and adherence to organizational policies.
