Primary Teacher – Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6)

About the role

EDVECTUS LTD is seeking a Primary Teacher for Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or Year 6) at its international school in Kampala. The school follows the English National Curriculum and offers a student‑centred, supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain strong classroom management and uphold high academic standards.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school community life.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support safeguarding and wellbeing policies.

Required profile

• Any degree; if not education‑related, a PGCE or QTS is required.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Minimum two years recent full‑time classroom experience.
• Experience teaching the English National Curriculum or a comparable international curriculum (preferred).
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusive education and willingness to live in an international setting.
