Sales Account Executive (Kampala, Uganda)

About the role

The Sales Account Executive is a quota‑carrying member of the country sales team in Kampala. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and nurture long‑term customer relationships that drive recurring revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify new leads through outbound outreach, referrals, events and channel partners to build a healthy pipeline.
• Own the complete sales process – discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation and close – and consistently achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, driving retention, renewals, upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM data (Zoho or Microsoft Dynamics), provide reliable forecasts and share market intelligence with the Country Manager.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology, telecom or SaaS.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, marketing or equivalent practical experience.
• Existing local market network is an advantage.
