Sales and Marketing Associate

About the role

The Sales and Marketing Associate is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kampala, working for an insurance agency. The role focuses on identifying prospective clients, delivering sales presentations, and supporting marketing initiatives to grow the agency’s customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective clients, conduct sales presentations, and follow up on leads to close business opportunities.
• Support marketing campaigns, assist in creating promotional materials, and manage outreach channels.
• Maintain customer relationships, handle inquiries, collect market feedback, and collaborate with the team to refine sales and marketing strategies.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build trust.
• Proven sales and marketing experience, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Experience in training or facilitating sessions related to business planning, advertising, or business development is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of marketing channels such as social media, email campaigns, and offline promotions.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage time effectively, and meet targets in a fast‑paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with Uganda’s local business landscape and a strong interest in supporting small and growing enterprises.
