Sales Associate – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

The Sales Associate is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Kampala. In this position, the Sales Associate will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with clients, and present agency services that align with client marketing goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new leads and conduct cold outreach.
• Schedule and attend client meetings, prepare proposals and quotations.
• Follow up with prospects to close deals.
• Coordinate with creative and account‑management teams to ensure client needs are communicated accurately.
• Track sales activities, performance metrics and provide regular sales reports.
• Represent the agency at events, networking functions and client presentations.

Required profile

• Strong sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification and closing.
• Knowledge of advertising and marketing concepts to discuss campaign strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build long‑term client relationships.
• Solid organizational and time‑management capabilities for handling multiple leads and follow‑ups.
• Comfort using basic digital tools such as CRM systems, email platforms and productivity software.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, collaborate with internal teams and adapt to a fast‑paced agency environment.
• Previous experience in sales, account management or client‑facing roles; a degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred.
