Sales Insurance Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Insurance Consultant to advise and sell insurance products to bank customers. The role focuses on delivering excellent service, identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, and supporting the bank’s bancassurance sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote, sell and guide customers on a range of insurance products through multiple channels.
• Identify and act on upsell and cross‑sell opportunities that match customer needs.
• Respond promptly to insurance queries and complaints, escalating complex cases when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure a positive experience.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, branch staff, insurers, brokers and other stakeholders.
• Follow all policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and risk controls.
• Act as a brand ambassador, adhering to the bank’s Code of Conduct.
• Use customer feedback and data insights to improve service quality and sales performance.
• Suggest process and system improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Accurately capture and maintain customer and policy information in line with data governance.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to sales, customer service or insurance operations.
• Experience in a banking branch environment or bancassurance sales is an advantage.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships, identify sales opportunities and deliver excellent service.
