Sales Manager – Renewable Energy Channel Sales

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead channel sales for solar inverters and energy storage solutions across Uganda and the wider East African region. You will be responsible for expanding our market presence, building strong partner networks, and driving revenue growth in both residential and commercial segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute channel sales strategies to meet revenue and market growth targets.
• Identify, recruit, and manage distributors, installers, EPCs, and strategic partners in the solar and energy storage industry.
• Strengthen brand awareness and expand SAJ’s presence in Uganda and neighboring countries.
• Maintain relationships with key customers and channel partners, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer needs to uncover new opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations, manage contracts, and support partner onboarding.
• Collaborate with technical support, product management, marketing, and headquarters teams.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market feedback.
• Organise and attend exhibitions, roadshows, customer meetings, and industry events.
• Support partners with product training and business‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales or channel development experience in solar PV, energy storage or renewable energy.
• Strong understanding of the solar and energy‑storage market with an existing network of distributors, installers or EPCs.
• Proven track record in channel sales and achieving growth targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Self‑driven, proactive and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel across East Africa.
