Sales & Marketing Manager (Retail & Field)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our retail shops and field sales team in Kampala. The role involves creating and executing business plans to meet sales, profit and customer‑satisfaction targets while representing Ramcogas in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals and performance metrics through strategy execution and team management.
• Organise weekly and monthly sales meetings, review daily sales data and develop tactics to increase revenue.
• Coach and develop staff, fostering a “Total Customer Satisfaction” culture and building bench strength for future growth.
• Maintain market knowledge, monitor competition and apply best‑practice sales techniques.
• Oversee credit activities, debt collection and preparation of client credit performance reports.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to meet sales and collection forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols and data‑protection requirements.
• Act as brand ambassador, promote RamcoGas products and support the Accounts department with reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail and field sales operations, including merchandising, inventory control and loss prevention.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities with a track record of staff development and performance management.
• High integrity, resilience and a customer‑focused mindset aligned with the company’s values.
