Sales Representative – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Kampala and focuses on generating new business for an insurance agency. The Sales Staff member will build relationships with prospective and existing clients, present agency services, and support revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market.
• Meet with prospective and existing clients to present proposals and quotations.
• Follow up on leads, negotiate terms, and close sales in line with agency guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are understood and met.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide regular sales reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• Demonstrated sales, client relationship, and account management experience, preferably in advertising, marketing or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in agency sales or business development is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven environment and collaborate within diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Competence in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
• Competence in presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
