Sales Representative – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

The Sales Representative will work full‑time on‑site in Kampala for an insurance agency, focusing on acquiring new clients and promoting advertising services and packages.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients.
• Present advertising services, prepare proposals and quotations, and close sales.
• Conduct client meetings, follow up on leads and maintain accurate sales records.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure campaign delivery.
• Build long‑term client relationships and gather market feedback.
• Represent the agency at events and client visits.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven sales and negotiation abilities, including prospecting, presenting, handling objections and closing deals.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing concepts.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple leads and meetings.
• Customer‑service focus with the ability to build trust and manage expectations.
• Relevant experience in sales, advertising or marketing (agency or media environment preferred).
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is an advantage.
• Proficiency with common office software and basic CRM tools.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kampala, travel locally for client meetings and meet performance targets.
