Sales Representative

About the role

The Sales Representative will work on-site in Kampala for an insurance company, focusing on generating new business opportunities. You will prospect potential clients, follow up on leads and promote the company’s recruitment and advertising services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead follow‑up.
• Meet with clients, present services, prepare proposals and negotiate terms to close sales.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and keep the customer database up to date.
• Provide regular performance reports to the Insurance Agency Manager.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are communicated and services are delivered as promised.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation abilities, capable of managing the full sales cycle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confident presentation capabilities.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple leads and meetings.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven mindset and commitment to ethical business practices.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and travel locally as needed.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with email.
• Experience using spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with CRM tools.
