Sales Staff - Insurance Agency

About the role

Link Solutions Uganda is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Staff for its insurance agency, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The role is based in Kampala and focuses on identifying new business, presenting agency services to prospective clients and turning leads into long-term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and follow up on leads to convert them into long-term partnerships.
• Meet with clients, prepare and deliver sales pitches, and negotiate pricing and contracts within set guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts and sales activities.
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams so proposals match client needs.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Provide regular sales reports to management.
• Build strong relationships, meet sales targets and represent the agency professionally.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability in sales, business development or client relationship management, preferably in advertising, marketing or related services.
• Completed secondary education; a diploma or degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field is an added advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Kampala, collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Prior experience in a client-facing or customer service role is beneficial.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Solid organisational and time-management skills, able to manage multiple leads, follow-ups and meetings.
• Basic understanding of advertising, marketing and promotional concepts.
• Proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.
