About the role
The Sales Supervisor will act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, reservations and sales opportunities at the Kampala Marriott Hotel. The role blends guest service with revenue‑driving sales techniques to enhance loyalty and maximize hotel income.
Key responsibilities
- Answer and resolve guest calls, requests and problems via phone, fax or email.
- Apply up‑selling and cross‑selling techniques to increase revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
- Determine and issue complimentary gifts such as reward points, tickets or certificates.
- Promote the Marriott brand internally and externally.
- Process Marriott Rewards points redemptions and enter reservation data into the hotel’s reservation system.
- Handle reservation changes, cancellations and new bookings.
- Perform general office duties for the Sales & Marketing department (filing, emailing, typing, faxing).
- Assist management with employee training, motivation and performance monitoring.
- Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related experience in sales or guest services.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability to lift, carry or move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
Required skills
- Reservation software proficiency.
- Marriott Rewards system usage.
