Senior Sales Lead – FMCG (Food Products)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Lead to drive our FMCG food product portfolio in Uganda. The role will lead the modern‑trade sales team, ensure targets are met and support the overall growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Train and mentor new members of the sales team.
• Set sales quotas and monitor performance against targets.
• Respond to sales staff inquiries and resolve performance issues.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports and related administrative documentation.
• Escalate and address critical customer service issues.
• Assist the sales management team with strategic initiatives.
• Participate in negotiations, help close deals and promote product sales.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in modern‑trade sales within the FMCG food sector.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a sales team.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor sales data and generate reports.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Senior‑level professional with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
