Specialty Care Pediatrics RPN

About the role

The Specialty Care RPN – Pediatrics provides nursing assessment, treatment, and education to infants, children, and adolescents referred for consultation. Working closely with a pediatrician, the RPN supports families throughout the care journey.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, record vital signs, medical history, and document in the EMR.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and perform point‑of‑care testing as directed.
• Perform age‑appropriate physical, developmental, and psychosocial assessments.
• Conduct medication reviews, mental health and developmental screenings, and discuss findings with providers.
• Coordinate care with local agencies, schools, and community resources.
• Educate families on growth, nutrition, sleep, behavior, and school readiness.

Required profile

• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) credential.
• Experience working with pediatric patients and families.
• Ability to recognize and act on safeguarding concerns.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
