Supply Chain Coordinator (Kampala)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a senior Supply Chain Coordinator to lead country‑level logistics and procurement activities in Kampala. You will ensure that humanitarian programmes receive the right goods, services and assets at the right time, supporting IRC’s mission to restore safety and dignity to vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, execute and monitor all supply chain functions, including procurement, inventory, asset and fleet management.
• Collaborate with Programme and Finance teams to integrate operational systems and maintain internal controls.
• Work closely with field‑office supply chain staff and senior field coordinators to ensure uniform implementation of IRC policies.
• Deliver site‑specific training to build capacity of supply chain personnel.
• Maintain country‑wide compliance with IRC standard operating procedures and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 8 years of supply chain experience, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage complex logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, asset and fleet management processes.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
