Teacher of Music – IB MYP & DP

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Music teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) in Kampala. You will inspire students through performance, composition and musical appreciation while contributing to a vibrant, inquiry‑based learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons for MYP and DP students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop and coordinate school music events, concerts and ensembles.
• Support learners of varying abilities with differentiated instruction.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development and wider school life.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or valid US teaching licence).
• A relevant degree in Music or a related field.
• Experience teaching Music within the IB MYP and/or DP is highly desirable.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative ethos.
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse international community.
