Treasury Manager

About the role

eTranzact Platform Ltd is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to lead cash management, liquidity forecasting and financial risk mitigation across its Ugandan operations. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the role supports business development and the company’s pan‑African digital banking vision.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cash flows, liquidity forecasting and cash optimisation to meet operational and investment needs.
• Develop and enforce treasury policies, monitor foreign‑exchange, interest‑rate and credit risks, and conduct financial modelling for strategic decisions.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners, negotiate service agreements and ensure effective use of treasury management systems such as Kyriba.
• Prepare treasury, cash‑position and performance reports while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, including AML and KYC requirements.
• Support funding, capital allocation and investment decisions in collaboration with finance, operations and executive teams.
• Identify and implement fintech‑driven efficiencies, including digital payments and blockchain solutions.
• Mentor junior treasury staff and foster a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CTP, ACCA) preferred.
• 5–7 years progressive treasury management experience, with at least 3 years in fintech or digital payments.
• Proven track record managing treasury operations in electronic banking or digital payment environments.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in treasury and liquidity management.
• Financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency with ERP and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba).
• Advanced use of Excel, SQL and Python for data analysis.
• Experience in foreign‑exchange management and hedging strategies.
