Truck Driver – Kampala Branch

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Truck Driver to join our Kampala branch and ensure the safe, timely delivery of LPG cylinders and related goods. The role involves operating heavy commercial vehicles, adhering to safety standards, and supporting depot operations when not on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Transport LPG cylinders and related goods safely to and from designated destinations.
• Ensure proper handling, loading, and offloading of company products.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, etc.) and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and in compliance with company maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and incidents.
• Adhere strictly to road safety rules and company policies.
• Support branch operations when not on driving duty, including assisting with cylinder movements within the depot.

Required profile

• Valid Ugandan driving license (Class CM, CH, or DL preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving heavy commercial vehicles, preferably in fuel or LPG transportation.
• Good knowledge of Kampala roads and surrounding areas.
• Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and reliability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Required skills

• Valid Ugandan driving license (Class CM, CH, or DL).
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
