Waiter / Waitress – Front of House

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic wait staff to join The Lawns Restaurant in Kampala. You will be the face of our open‑air dining venue, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, seat and serve guests with a friendly attitude.
• Take orders accurately, upsell specials and drinks, and handle dietary queries.
• Set up, maintain and clear tables, keeping the service area tidy.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Operate the POS system, process bills and handle cash or mobile‑money payments.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, recommend dishes and flag allergens.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality, restaurant or hotel service.
• Energetic, presentable and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, with flexibility for events.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
