Warehouse Supervisor – Inventory & Operations Lead

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing inventory and coordinating daily warehousing activities. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the role works closely with sales, production and dispatch teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve high customer satisfaction through efficient receiving, identification, dispatch and quality assurance of goods.
• Measure and report on warehousing effectiveness and loader performance.
• Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas, ensuring transaction accuracy.
• Coordinate timely resolution of loading challenges, truck turnaround time and dispatch issues.
• Perform daily inventory stock‑takes and reconciliations.
• Apply FIFO methods to manage goods flow.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production and Dispatch on order lead‑times and deliveries.
• Determine loader staffing levels and assign workloads.
• Maintain item records, generate reports and project warehouse status.
• Identify improvement areas and adjust work procedures accordingly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar warehouse supervisory role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capability to direct and coordinate operations.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of warehouse software packages.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to input, retrieve and analyse large volumes of data.
