Accounting Trainer

About the role

PHB Development is seeking an Accounting Trainer to deliver high‑impact training on accounting and financial management to educators and staff in refugee‑hosting communities. The role combines technical expertise with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop training curricula covering accounting, management accounting, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Lead workshops, seminars and coaching sessions for diverse learners.
• Adapt training materials to on‑the‑ground realities and multicultural contexts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align training with program objectives.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to trainees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or progress toward it.
• Demonstrated experience designing curricula and delivering training.
• Solid background in finance, impact investment, budgeting and financial analysis, preferably in nonprofit or community settings.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills and strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in multicultural or refugee‑hosting environments is an advantage.
