Social Studies Teacher – Early College High School (2026‑27)

About the role

The Social Studies Teacher will deliver high‑school and dual‑credit courses for the Early College High School, supporting students’ academic and personal growth and preparing them for higher education.

Key responsibilities

• Implement AISD high‑school curriculum and Tarrant County College dual‑credit curriculum.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans, accommodations, and assessments aligned with Texas Education Agency standards.
• Collaborate with special‑education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Manage classroom environment, student behavior, and extracurricular activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and college staff; maintain records and attend faculty meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in the subject area or related field (or equivalent with 18 graduate hours).
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements.
• Knowledge of the assigned subjects, curriculum, and instructional strategies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Technology integration in instruction.
• Familiarity with AVID, Pre‑AP, and AP instructional strategies.
