Afterschool Preschool Teacher

About the role

Cadence Education is seeking a passionate Afterschool Preschool Teacher to join its early‑learning team. Working under the School Director and Lead Teacher, you will help create a safe, nurturing classroom where children develop physically, socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment that respects each child’s dignity.
• Greet children and families daily, building welcoming professional relationships.
• Recognize and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence‑approved tools and systems.
• Follow the Safety and Supervision Manual, documenting and reporting accidents or incidents.
• Manage, document, and escalate child behaviors in line with Cadence policies.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and licensing requirements.

Required profile

• Passion for working with young children and a commitment to early childhood education.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool settings.
• Ability to support children with IEPs and diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills with children, families, and team members.
• Willingness to follow safety, licensing, and organizational policies.
