About the role
The Anesthetist will provide comprehensive pre‑, intra‑ and post‑operative care for surgical patients at Henrob Hospital. The role involves patient assessment, administration of anesthesia, monitoring vital functions and ensuring safe recovery.
Key responsibilities
- Provide pre‑, intra‑ and post‑operative care.
- Inform patients and attendants about conditions and treatment options to obtain informed consent.
- Assess patient readiness for surgery through examination, history review and lab results, and obtain written authorization.
- Administer anesthesia during surgery, control pain and consciousness, and continuously monitor vital signs.
- Identify signs of recovery and determine when patients are stable for transfer to the ward.
- Deliver resuscitation services in emergencies and disaster situations.
- Plan and budget anesthesia activities and participate in quality improvement, infection control and drug committees.
