Area Sales Manager – Uganda

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead and develop multiple optical retail branches across Uganda, ensuring high sales performance, customer satisfaction, and brand visibility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will travel throughout the territory to support and supervise branch teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies for each branch in line with company targets.
• Lead, train, and motivate Branch Managers and their sales and eye‑specialist teams.
• Monitor branch performance, identify issues, and provide solutions to exceed turnover, profitability, and customer‑satisfaction goals.
• Coordinate sales actions with the Marketing team to boost brand awareness.
• Support the opening of new branches and ensure compliance with company policies, store standards, and uniform dress code.
• Oversee financial management, conduct regular audits, and manage inventory and stock levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in retail or business management, including team leadership.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to organize, motivate, and achieve sales targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with CRM and other accounting/analysis software.
