Assembler

About the role

Falls Fabricating is seeking a motivated Assembler to join its production team in Kamwokya, Uganda. You will work on a variety of assembly tasks, from basic component builds to more complex equipment, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read basic prints, shop routing instructions and measurement values using tape measures and calipers.
• Lift up to 75 lb occasionally and 35 lb frequently while handling parts and assemblies.
• Assemble tanks, kit parts, package parts and pull parts for drop‑shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory, turn in Kan‑Ban cards and keep the work area organized following 5S principles.
• Identify non‑conforming products, initiate corrective actions and participate in quality audits.
• Follow ISO‑9001:2015 quality system procedures and stop production if quality is compromised.

Required profile

• Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat and lift materials regularly.
• Commitment to a safe, clean and organized work environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic hand tools.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and measurement devices (tape measure, caliper).
• Knowledge of 5S workplace organization.
• Familiarity with ISO‑9001:2015 quality and documentation system.
• Understanding of safety policies and corrective‑preventive action processes.
