About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. In this position you will help maintain accurate financial records, process daily transactions, and support the overall financial operations of the company.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records and general ledger entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Support the finance department with ad‑hoc reporting and analysis.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ugandan citizenship (position open to Ugandan citizens only).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software.
