About the role

Youngminds is seeking a Board Finance Expert to provide strategic financial advice to its Board and Executive Team. This volunteer position supports the organization’s healthcare mission by offering high‑quality insights, analysis, and problem‑solving expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the Board on financial strategy, risk management and resource allocation.
• Support sub‑committees with specialist financial knowledge not otherwise available.
• Facilitate robust discussions, explore new opportunities and evaluate strategic options.
• Provide feedback and analysis to strengthen organisational resilience.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in finance, accounting or related fields.
• Ability to think critically and communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
• Willingness to work on a volunteer basis without formal decision‑making authority.
