Branch Manager – Optical Retail (Greater Kampala)

About the role

Lapaire is expanding its network of optical shops across Africa. As the Senior Branch Manager for a Greater Kampala location, you will lead daily operations, drive sales growth, and ensure an exceptional customer experience in a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the branch’s performance, meeting and exceeding sales targets and customer satisfaction scores.
• Develop and execute business‑development initiatives, gather market intelligence, and strengthen B2B and B2C relationships.
• Lead, motivate and train a team of sales representatives and an eye specialist, allocating tasks and conducting regular meetings.
• Manage branch finances, record deposits and purchases, maintain accurate stock levels, and prevent loss or shrinkage.
• Prepare financial and performance reports for senior management.
• Maintain a clean, presentable shop environment that reflects the brand.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in retail or branch management, with a track record of driving sales growth.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and solid understanding of business operations.
• Experience in financial reporting and data analysis.
