Business Facilitator – Agribusiness Youth Project

About the role

The Business Facilitator will serve as the frontline field agent for the SAYE project, a partnership between Heifer International and the Mastercard Foundation. Working at district level, you will help youth, women and persons with disabilities launch or expand agribusiness enterprises across key value chains such as poultry, horticulture, oilseeds, dairy and beef.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate and monitor project activities in assigned districts.
• Mobilize and register individual youth and Self‑Help Groups (SHGs) in target value chains.
• Conduct community sensitisation meetings to promote inclusion of women and persons with disabilities.
• Provide business management training, coaching and technical support to SHGs and agri‑hubs.
• Facilitate linkages to finance, markets and commercial service providers.
• Collaborate with project front‑line team members (CAE, CAVES, CFs, DIF) and local development mobilisers.

Required profile

• Experience working with rural communities, youth groups or agribusiness value chains.
• Strong understanding of agribusiness development and inclusive entrepreneurship.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to travel frequently within assigned districts.
