About the role
The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF) is looking for a dynamic professional to lead its policy and advocacy work, supporting farmer organisations across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement EAFF’s policy and advocacy master plan.
- Build the capacity of member organisations in policy and advocacy.
- Implement programmes and projects related to policy and advocacy.
- Represent EAFF at regional, continental and international policy events.
- Contribute to fundraising through the development of new projects and programmes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Political Science, or a related field.
- At least five years’ experience in policy analysis, advocacy and policy‑related programme management.
- Strong understanding of agricultural policy frameworks and farmer organisation dynamics.
- Experience working with government institutions and multi‑stakeholder platforms.
- Proven ability to write high‑quality policy briefs and reports.
